Our mission is to help women with issues of addiction recover, maintain sobriety and return to their families and the community as physically, mentally and emotionally healthy women.Wayside House is an addiction recovery program for women, by women. It was created in 1974 by Dr. Susan B. Anthony, great niece of the women's rights advocate of the same name, and Phyllis Michelfelder, both women in recovery. It is a 90-day program based on the 12-step model. We have made it a priority to bring in highly skilled professional to ensure success. A board-certified psychiatrist leads the medical team, with a full-time registered nurse meeting the health and wellness needs. A strong clinical team provides individual and group therapy in a highly supportive and structured setting.
