"Unfair Treatment of LGBT People at Recovery Unplugged"

Recovery Unplugged has been found to unfairly target LGBT and minority groups. If you're gay, don't go here because the people in charge will unfairly target you for a Baker Act—picking on gay people seems to be their system. A lot of patients here have been forced into psychiatric units and lost their rights and dignity because of who they are. This is one of the worst places to go for help, and even worse, it's associated with other bad places just under different names. I spoke up about how they were treating gay people and the very same day they told me to leave. They wanted to send me to another center. I didn't agree and asked for my items which they didn't give me. I walked out of their center and on my way, I saw a guy carrying in a wheelchair that was supposed to be for me! They were trying to set me up—just because I have friends in Wilton Manors. After leaving, I had to call the police to get them to give me my stuff back. My therapist broke the rules about patient privacy. They'll call your emergency contacts even when it's not a real emergency, acting crazy as they try to find reasons to send you to a psychiatric facility. This place is terrible!
