""Stay Away! Dirty Facility Overcharges Insurance without Providing Proper Care""

This place is the absolute pits. They trick you about your destination. You're told your room is right on the beach, just to find out it's some grimy hospital setup. It's super dirty, with ants scrambling all around. Every morning, it's the same tired biscuits and gravy for breakfast, and the exact same soup and salad combo for lunch. Dinner's the only meal that changes, but it's still the same on a weekly rotation. There are four daily group activities. Newbies run these, with only one out of the four guided by a real counselor. You're supposed to meet with a counselor once a week for at least an hour; good luck with that! It took me nearly a week and a half just to get a meeting. They don't have doctors on hand. You have to wait for a doctor who only sees you via Skype, which is crazy. In my book, prescribing detox meds over the internet without a face-to-face meeting is just wrong. To add insult to injury, they overcharged my card by over $100. The pharmacy says my copay was $25, but no one seems to know where the extra money went. It's sad that this place makes a killing from insurance payments — over $80,000 for just one person's 28-day stay — yet I didn't get anywhere near the support I needed. I'm so upset I've contacted a lawyer. Listen up, folks: there are many awesome places in Florida who genuinely care about your wellbeing and will give you the help you need. Skip over this place! They're only interested in your insurance money, not in your health. I'm talking about the St. Augustine, Florida location.
