Detox Unit
On our 12-bed unit on Midway Road, adults experiencing acute symptoms from substance abuse can receive medication to prevent and manage withdrawal symptoms and also receive medical and psychosocial treatment to help them become and stay substance-free.

Independence Recovery Program (IR)
After Detox, individuals can take part in a 6-bed, 28-day treatment program to help them remain clean and sober. The program follows the 12 Step Model to recovery and resilience. Individuals are welcome to refer themselves to this program, and participants are also accepted from community providers, Mental Health Court, or jail.

Case Management
Adults with a mental illness and perhaps a co-occurring substance abuse disorder need a wide range of services, especially if they lack a natural support system to assist them in their recovery. Through Targeted Case Management, our staff can  help them with finding and maintaining supportive house, establishing linkages  with community agencies and services, providing education to families and significant others about mental illness and coping strategies, getting primary medical care at the New Horizons Primary Care Clinic, and overall reducing the need for future psychiatric hospitalization.Intensive Case Management is available for individuals requiring more frequent interventions and a higher level of support to maintain their stability. A team provides services in the home or community setting, with a staff member available 24/7 to assist as needed.

Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT)
FACT provides services in homes, at work, and in community settings in St Lucie and Indian River Counties for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. A multi-disciplinary team works with these individuals to lessen the  symptoms of mental illness, meet basic needs, and promote quality of life.

Psychosocial Rehab and Independent Living Skills
At each of our centers in St. Lucie, Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee, we offer recovery-oriented services to assist individuals on their road to recovery. They learn skills needed for independent living, such as medication management, pre-employment, health maintenance, social skills and use of community resources.
