"“Program Participant Fears Losing Baby After Unfair Discharge.”"

I was enrolled in this program for nearly half a year. I obeyed all the key rules and my tests were always clean. When my baby girl was born, she was perfectly healthy. There was nothing harmful in either of our systems. But, because I had made mistakes in my past, the folks from Child Protective Services (CPS) showed up and took her away. They took her when she was just three months old, right from my arms as I was feeding her. Now I'm fighting to get her back. I haven't been able to hold her for two months. I was so close to finally getting to hold her again, but then they threw me out for what they call not taking directions. They denied me help that I needed for a surgery, a simple elevator pass since I have to go through an operation on my ankle. All my belongings were hastily thrown into trash bags. The people I expected support from didn't hesitate to scare me off. They said I was negative and wouldn't follow instructions. If they decide to send you off, they will find a way. Now, I'm afraid that I'll lose my baby because the court will see that I was discharged from the program. I have no one to help me fight my battle. I was tearfully begging for help, but I was told I had only two minutes before they'd do things 'the hard way'. My only hope is for outpatient services. I would give anything to be able to finish the program I was so close to completing. Despite all this, I'm still clean and sober. But I'm terrified. I can't bear the thought of losing my child. I just can't.
