"Admissions Policy Fiasco: Service Dogs Not Welcome at Banyan Boca"

Originally was 5 stars. I visited Banyan Boca and it was right. The same groups met a lot, and my therapist wasn't my favorite while I was there. But looking back, I think she cared about me. When you call them to apply, they'll ring your phone constantly until you go. Why did I give it 1 star? I called them again this year and they don't follow the ADA rules about service dogs. In 2022, I brought my trained service dog, but they told me they "didn't have that on record" and "now require certification." I told them the ADA allows them to ask me 2 questions and I was even willing to show them a letter from my doctor supporting my service dog. But when I called the ADA hotline, the admissions staff refused to talk to them. Some people might not think this is a big deal, but for me, dealing with mental struggles, it's super frustrating. So, my advice is, if you have a service dog, don't bother coming here.
